Q: What methods do you use for carpet cleaning?

A: Depending on the type of textile your carpet is made of, steam cleaning or dry cleaning will be implemented. Also, there are different cleaning solutions for wet and dry cleaning which are suitable for the different types of textiles and the different types of stains too. The cleaners will inspect and test the carpet before proceeding with the deep cleaning.

Q: How long does the carpet cleaning take for two rooms?

A: Steam cleaning two bedroom carpets will take about 40 minutes. If you want two sofa’s steam cleaned, it will take about 1.40 to 2 hours.

Q: Do you move furniture, or do we need to move it off of the carpet beforehand?

A: The cleaner is usually alone, so he/she cannot move heavy furniture like beds, wardrobes, pianos, etc. but can move lighter furniture and items, such as chairs, coffee tables, etc. Still, to save time it is preferable that you remove whatever you can from the carpet before the cleaning appointment. If you can’t move something, the cleaner will place protective padding to keep it from being damaged.

Q: How does applying Scotchgard protection on the carpet benefit me?

A: The completely safe and yet efficient protective solution will help the carpet (or upholstery) resist further staining or soiling for a longer time. The protective layer keeps the spilled liquid or dirt from quickly becoming absorbed by the textile, so you have time to dab it up and prevent it from staining.

Q: How long will it take for my carpets to dry after the cleaning?

A: depending on the type of carpet, the humidity, the temperature and the ventilation, the full drying can take as little as 3 hours to a bit more. Drying after steam cleaning is relatively quick, because the modern water extraction machines used to wash the carpets extract up to 95% of the water used during the process. If you want Scotchgard protection applied, the drying will take 4 hours if 2 layers are applied. Upon request, the cleaner can use a specialized air moving system to speed up the drying process.

Q: When I clean my carpet by myself, it seems to get soiled faster. Will this happen after you clean it too?

A: No, this is often the case when the carpet is washed with soap which isn’t completely rinsed off and attracts the dirt and residue. The cleaning solutions and the tools used for carpet cleaning by (Company name) do not allow for any residue to be left in the carpet after the cleaning.

Q: Can you guarantee me that you will remove all stains from my carpet?

A: The Company cannot give a 100% guarantee that each and every stain will be removed. Some stains are very old and some stains are caused by substances which permanently discolour the carpet fibres. The cleaner will perform an inspection before pre-treating the stains and will give you an estimation of which ones he thinks can be cleaned and which ones are impossible to remove.

Q: How often do manufacturers recommend that professional cleaning for carpets?

A: The general rule of the thumb is at least once a year, but if you have small children, pets, smokers or people with allergies and respiratory problems, you should resort to the services of professional carpet cleaners at least once in every 6 months.
